An important aspect of the ZOOM Rest Area implementation is a corresponding business model to help subsidize most of the cost of the program through an approved sponsorship and advertising model. This is all done in a way that is not obtrusive or offensive to Travelers and DOTs. Quite the opposite, our content and programs supports state tourism and economic development while bringing in greatly needed revenue to the State.
Travelers entering the rest area can connect to a WiFi signal from all areas of the parking lot with the WiFi-enabled devices. When connected, a ZOOM-developed landing page loads with various traveler information functions (see example below).
